Resurrection Eggs

This year in Awana, the kids got to make their own resurrection eggs.  Allie remembers the story well, and can tell you exactly what each symbol is for and why. :) Here is the kit they made... :)

1. Donkey- Jesus rode to Jerusalem on a donkey. 

2. Bread and Juice- The disciples and Jesus had a Last Supper before he was crucified. 

3. Money-  Judas was paid money to tell where Jesus was hiding. 

4. Praying hands- Jesus Prayed for Gods will to be done. 

5. Whip-  Jesus was whipped.  

6. Crown of THORNS- They made a crown out of thorns and pushed it on Jesus' head.

7. Nails- They nailed Jesus to the Cross.  His blood saved us from our sins. 

8. Dice- They cast dice to see who would win Jesus' clothes

9. Sword- They pierced Jesus with a sword in his side. 

10.  Cloth- They wrapped his body in cloth and buried him in the tomb. 

11. Stone-  The stone was rolled away...

12. Empty! Jesus is ALIVE! The tomb is EMPTY! :)
