On August 19th, we headed north for a celebration! We had lots of family support as we officially welcomed Brady into our family. He has always been ours- but it was made official by the judge! :) Brady's forever day. :)
It was fun because this was the same courthouse (and room) that Allie was approved in too. They have told us that this is the only happy occasion to go to court for. They let us take as many pictures and bring as many people as we wanted. :) We were the first family of four (for that hour) to have our adoption reviewed and approved. It was a quick process. We were called as a family to the magistrates bench and our lawyer presented our case and spoke kindly and favorably on our behalf. The Magistrate had said that he reviewed our files and found it to be in the best interest of Brady and our family for this adoption to be made official and final. I had tears as he spoke and approved the whole case. ;) We didn't have any reason to believe he wouldn't... just hearing that it was forever and official was awesome! :)
We then got to seal the decree from the Magistrate and take our family pictures. ;) Allie helped to seal the decree and like that it was all done. Of course Brady "missed" the whole thing because he fell asleep right before the Magistrate entered the courtroom. He slept the entire time! :) Silly boy! :)
THank you to all of our family who came with us. It was awesome to have you all there to celebrate with us. You are all an awesome support to us and this whole journey wouldn't have been possible without your prayers, support and love. Thank you! :)
