Little Photo Shoots... :)

I've been taking mini photo shoots with our new little man... :) Here are a couple of our favorites... :) I haven't had a chance to edit them, but still love them. ;) 

Sweet Life!

I don't remember if I ever explained how we picked Braedan's name. ;)  Boys names were INCREDIBLY hard for daddy and I. This was the only one we both really liked and wanted to use, and we've only had it picked out for about a year. We had a girls name picked out for many years, and had a "close" situation a year or so ago where the baby was a boy and we decided we better pick a name we love incase. :)  We wanted the name to have meaning- like big sister Allisynn's.  It was hard to find names we liked that were manly enough yet had neat meanings and we liked... we finally decided to name him after family members... Braedan is named after all three very influential men in his life.   Braedan is from my dad's name- Dan.  We didn't like the "y" spelling for a boy- so we made it an e instead.  We picked David for his middle name because that is Daddy's middle name (as well as his grandpa's first name-whom he highly respected!) and then he has his Gramp's initials. :)  We loved that we could honor both of our dads this way as well as have daddy's middle name.  Allie has my middle name too- so that makes it even more perfect.   We will call him Brady for short sometimes- just like we shorten Allisynn's to Allie. :)

First checkup!

Braedan had his first check up last Friday. :) He was one week old! 

He did really good.  His doctor said he looks very healthy and is doing well! :)   

He weighed 6 pounds 5 ounces. He weighed 6 pounds 11 ounces at birth- so he was almost up to birth weight. And he grew a half inch- from 19.5 to 20 inches long. :)   

We think he has some reflux issues and explained what we noticed so far. His doctor agreed that he probably does and to let her know if it got worse.  We are trying less feeding amount but more frequently.  And always have him propped up. :) It seems (for the most part) to be helping! :)
