It is almost time for a new carseat for Allie girl. She is so tall that her little feet are almost sticking out the end of her infant carrier seat. It is kind of bittersweet to be switching to the next seat, but at the same time, we are thankful she is healthy and growing. We did lots of research and scouting out to find the "perfect" seat. We'll see how perfect it is after we use it! :) The ratings were really good, the price was good, and the comfort seems good, and the "liveability" (how long she can stay in it) were good. It holds her till she's 50 pounds! We tested the seat out in the living room this weekend. She seems to like it. :) Hopefully she does when it is in the van! There are pros and cons that I can already think of.... it won't be as heavy to lug her around, but it will be harder to move her when she is sleeping.

Random Shots
We were eating lunch on Friday, and we were having some veggies. Allie was getting restless and so I handed her a raw snowpea to see what she would do with it. She put it to her mouth and licked it and then tried to bite it. It must have felt soothing on her gums because when she dropped it, she would get mad until you'd give it back to her. :) Silly girl. :)

Our Little Monkey
We have a little monkey on our hands!!! The pictures show the progression over (seriously!) a couple days tops! She started doing this little pull herself up on small things and before we knew it, she's scaling the walls of her playpen and crib and couches and cupboards and chairs and EVERYTHING she can get her little hands on. It is like they have little suction cups at the end... ;) She even pulled herself up on the CLOSED dishwasher! Yikes! And the thing is, she very rarely falls! She steadies herself and takes it slow (kinda) and then moves as she feels secure- till she's all the way up. Then, she's not sure what to do next, so she stands there and sometimes doesnt' realize that she still has to hold on. Sometimes she'll let go, sometimes, she'll fall, sometimes she slowly sits back down and finds something else to scale! :) She's part monkey- I'm pretty sure!!!! :) I didn't think this came till closer to one years old! Geez!
So, if my blogging seems to have gone by the wayside, you'll know that I'm busy trying to keep up with our little monkey girl! :)
Get your Crawl On
Allie is no longer inchworming her way around. She's graduated to the REAL crawl!!! :)
She is so fast!!! :)
She cracks us up! :) She loves going after Gracie's toys and the things she shouldn't have! She'll turn around and sit down and clap for herself and then turn back into a crawl and explore some more. Then she'll turn around and sit down again and clap for herself. :)
She is so silly!!!

She's been doing this for the last couple weeks. She's turning into such a big girl!!!!!

A Spring Walk!
One of the nice evenings we've had lately, we got the stroller out and took Allie and Gracie for the first walk around the block. :) It was cooler than I thought, and so we didn't go far- just down the road and back. Allie loves to be in her stroller. She just takes everything in and looks all around at everything! So cute! :)
Little Explorer
Allie loves to explore things around her. She is so curious and loves to play and be in the action. She was in her walker one day this week and she walked over to Gracie on the couch. She petted her really nice at first and then started pulling ears and skin. :) Gracie was so good and just sat there and took it all! She doesn't go far or fast in her walker yet. I don't think she realizes she can! The best place is the kitchen where the tile is. :) Maybe when it is nice, we'll have to test out the drive! :)

Mama's Little Helper
Allie is so curious when I do things around the house. I was spring cleaning the dining room on Monday and she just sat and watched me for the LONGEST time! So silly. Today I hung the curtains in there that I washed and again, she just sat and watched me the whole time. :)
She loves to be where I am and is so curious. Here are some pictures from when I was doing laundry one day. She was all over the place and so I put her inside the laundry basket while I was folding clothes. She had a blast! :)

Daddy.....come home!
Allie loves to look out the window. This week we have been watching daddy go to work and come home. Gracie loves to watch too. Onschool mornings when Nana comes to get Allie, Allie watches for her. She watches the cars go by too. It is pretty cute! She knows what I mean when I tell her someone's coming.

Best Buddies
We took this little video a couple weeks or so ago. Allie and Gracie really love each other. Allie always gets excited to see Gracie and Gracie always has to check out Allie when we bring her home or she wakes up. It is pretty cute! :)
Today, Allie was in her little walker and she walked over to Gracie on the couch. She was petting her pretty nice and was all proud of herself. Then she started grabbing Gracie's ears and face. Gracie just sat there. :)
Bring on the Food!!
Since Allie's last appointment (six month well check, a couple weeks ago), she is allowed to try more foods. We were just doing cereal and green beans and peas. The pediatrician wanted us to stick to the green vegetables for a couple months. When we went back, she gave us the clear to try more fruits and vegetables. Allie loves them for the most part. I think we've worked through all of the stage one options. Her favorites are still the green veggies, but she also loves squash and all the fruits. She DOES NOT like carrots! Silly girl. We've tried them a couple times and they just aren't a good match. Maybe in a few months. She's had pears, bananas, applesauce, peaches, squash, sweet potatoes, and the carrots- in addition to peas and green beans. We can move on to the stage twos when we see that she's ready. We'll probably stick to the stage ones a little bit yet. I think she could handle the next stage- but why rush it? :)
She is a little miss piggy. She LOVES LOVES LOVES to eat!!! She eats two tablespoons (mixed with two ounces of milk) each morning and then has either a fruit or veggie for lunch and the other for supper.... in addition to her morning bottle at six, another one around 9, 11, 2, 5 and 8.
Last weight check was 18 pounds!!! :) She's tall (27.5 inches) and thin!!! :)
