The Dress that Grammie Made

Grammie decided to make each of her little girls matching dresses. We haven't had them all together yet for a group picture, but I took ones of Allie. She wore her dress to church last Sunday. Miss K K did too. :) They looked pretty cute! :)  

Allie was adorable because she walked into church and two steps in-sheds her coat- like always- and continues to walk down the hall with a HUGE smile on her face- holding the skirt out. She felt pretty. You could tell. :) It made my heart smile. :) I love this little girl! :) 

Good job Gram! :) 

Boredom Buster

I love new, fun ideas! Which is why I'm loving p.i.nterest. :) I decided I won't pin anything unless I fully intend to do something with it. :)  I don't want to pin stuff just to pin it. I have tried out several of my pins and have liked most all of them. This one though was a big favorite- that I'll for sure do again. Not only was it a win with me, but it was a huge win with Miss Allie Roo. :)  I wanted to use some supplies that were not my good kitchen supplies... :) So we headed to the Do.l.l.ar T.r.ee . (I love that place!) Anyway- I found a muffin tin and a basting brush both for a dollar. Win! :) I had the shaving cream from another pin I had tried (that was cool too), and the food coloring from my spice cupboard that I don't use hardly ever. :)  

It turned into sooooo much fun! And the best part was while it looked so messy, it was sooo easy to clean up, and she was already in the tub, so we just used a little soap after playing and wal-la! She was clean in a snap too! :) I put everything in the hall closest to use again some other day. :) She's already asked to use it again! :) 

Supplies needed:  Each one (except food coloring) a dollar!

And can be used multiple times! So worth it!

Getting ready..... a couple drops of food coloring in the bottom of each tin. Then a big puff of shaving cream...

 Then mix it all together.....

 Pretty pallet of colors... it was a fun science lesson too... if we mix red and blue- we get purple... and if we mix red and yellow, we get orange. :)

 She used the basting brush, as well as her hands... but preferred the brush. :)

Haircut Day! :)

We got hair cuts today! :) Allie girl's hair was getting really long. I love it long, but it was starting to get in her food and almost too long when it was wet. :) We just got a couple inches taken off, and some of her bangs trimmed...some of them (a lot of them) we are letting grow. :) Before pictures first and then after. :) And one mom took of mine. ;) I let the lady do whatever she wanted... (she gave me a couple options- one safe and one bold. I chose bold. :) and LOVE the change!) :)

Surprise visit

Allie girl has been sick the last few days. :( No fun! She has a sinus infection and an ear infection. :(  She is feeling better thanks to the pink medicine from the doctor's. :) We've been cooped up in the house and so Nana and Papa stopped in for a visit after church yesterday. Allie loved the company (we did too!:)) and some new entertainment. :) She kept taking books to Nana and Papa to read. :) She loves stories. We read at least six books this morning and she sat still the entire time- just listening and laughing and talking about the books. :) I love it that she loves reading and books. She later sat down in her little easy chair and started "reading" one of the books that has been a favorite lately out loud. :) It was pretty cute to hear her reading it. :) She has it mostly memorized. :)

It is almost comical when we try to take a group picture. Someone is always upset... or not paying attention or trying to run away. Or covering their face, or picking their nose, or something .... :) Here are some pictures that didn't turn out... but are kind of funny. :) You have to laugh right??

Play Land!

On Wednesday we went to playland. It is an indoor play place at our church. It is SOOOOO much fun! We met Grammie and all of Allie's cousins. (and Auntie A and S). :)  It was a blast. We packed a lunch and played! We were there for two and a half hours- climbing and playing and sliding and chasing cousins! :) Tons of fun! :)
