Nine months old!

Allie and Monkey- best friends!

Allisynn was nine months old on Tuesday! We are a little slow this month at getting pictures and updates up. School's almost out! :)

Here is what she's up to now that she's so big! :)

• She has one tooth on the bottom. It came in on May 2nd! She's working on one on the top now too. It hasn't been fun for her or us. Poor baby! She's not eating well and not sleeping well. I feel so badly for her. You can tell she's miserable! We keep hoping the top will pop through any day now!
  
• She's trying to stand on her own for a little while. She'll pull herself up on something and then slowly take her hands away. Sometimes she'll stand for a few seconds before she falls. She likes to clap for herself while she's at it too! :) Silly girl! :)
  
• She is walking along things- like the couch. And she'll hold on to one thing and walk to get to another thing. Pretty cute.
  
• She'll crawl over to where I am and pull herself into a standing position and just cling to my legs. :) I love that!! :)
  
• Still goes to bed around 8 and usually (when she's not suffering under the wrath of a new tooth) she'll sleep until about 6:30 or 7.
  
• Babbles and says more syllable/vowel patterns. Baa, Uhhh, Da, ah!, guh
• She sometimes sounds like she's trying to mimic our sounds.That is amazing to hear when she does that! You know that is what she's trying to do! :)
  
• She barks like a doggie when she wants to see a puppy or when she is close. She'll go uhhh, uhhh, uh! just like you'd go woof, woof, woof! :) It is hilarious! :)
• She waves bye bye. (not 100 percent consistent- she'll do it sometimes when we are in the kitchen, and when we want her to, she doesn't always) but she's learning the idea and knows what it is. :)
• She dances a little when she hears music.
• She takes a bath in the big tub now. We put a towel down on the "floor" of the tub and fill the tub with a little water and give her some toys and she has a blast! She LOVES her bath! She splashes and gets all excited! She doesn't mind it when we have to wash out the soap from her hair. :) She likes when we pour the water on her head! :)
• She chases after Gracie. Gracie isn't always sure. She is nice to Allie and tolerates her but there are more times than not that Gracie just gets up and leaves. :)
• She will crawl out of a room and stop and look at us to see if we are going to come get her. When we say, "I'm going to get you", she takes off as fast as she can crawl and hi-tails it out of the room and down the hall. Then, she'll turn around and look to see where you are and wait for you to catch her. :) She loves it when you crawl after her! :)
• She knows patty-cake. When we start saying the little rhyme, she'll start clapping her hands.
• When we say clap she does. Also, when we say "Yay!" she'll clap! :)
• She can crawl up steps. She's done about five or six on her own. Sometimes she gets distracted and tries to turn around. We have to be RIGHT there because she has no fear and doesn't realize that if she turns she'll fall. She'll crawl up them though with no help.
• She eats oatmeal or rice mixed with a fruit for breakfast, a stage two (it was two stage twos before this tooth messed her up) for lunch and a stage two (it was two here too) for supper.
• She likes to eat yummies. She'll eat puffed cereal sometimes. She also likes the Graduates Little Crunchies, and Graduates Wheels. We haven't tried O cereal yet.
• She drinks from a sippy and knows how to make it work. Hasn't totally figured out that you have to swallow the water that you get from the sippy- she usually lets it all roll out of her mouth (sometimes drinking some of it).
• Stands up on her tippy toes almost always. She even tries to walk on her tippies sometimes.
• She's out grown her bouncy door jumper and her front pack carrier.
• She wears size 9 month and some 12 month clothes. She wears some size two shoes, but some don't fit anymore. She still wears size 3 cruisers.
• She will throw her head back and arch her back if she is mad. Or, she'll bury her face in the carpet and cry- as she lays on her belly. (yeah, we've got some tantrums already! :))
• Can wear a piggy tail water spout on top of her head. HATES to have the rubber band put in though.
• Snuggles up and likes to be rocked to sleep. Then, she sleeps with her monkey. She LOVES her monkey and her puppy. When ever she sees them, she'll grab ahold of them and hug them tight and coo at them and then bury her face into them.
• Sometimes likes to nuzzle your face with hers and she'll bury her face into yours.
• When she sees someone she hasn't seen in a while or when she gets shy, she'll hide her face for a while until she feels comfortable with that person.
