This month marks Braedan's 18 month "birthday". He is such a little boy. His word count is way beyond counting... he repeats everything, and often strings a few words together. We can ask a question and get an answer sometimes..., and we know what he is asking us most of the time. Communication is an amazing thing! :)
He is inquisitive, and yet shy and timid. He LOVES cars and big trucks and tractors and mowers. He notices airplanes and train noises. He loves to wave and blow kisses, and if you are lucky, he will kiss you on the cheek. :) He gives high fives, and fist bumps. Knows where his head, hair, eyes, ears, nose, chin, mouth, belly button, knees and toes are.
ADORES his sister. Tells her "morning" every morning when he sees her for the first time. :) Follows her around and plays with her. She has called him "Pepper" (? I have no clue why) and "Honey" and when he wants to play with her, he will say those words back to her- as if he is calling her those names. ;0)
He loves the water, swimming, bath and a bucket. :) He likes to swing, but loves to climb his little play set and slide better. He tries to jump and hop, and sometimes gets some air... but usually just bends his knees and pops up. :) Likes tv shows with trains and also Allie's shows-- (he knows Doc, Elsa, Anna, Ella, Sophia and calls them by name). His favorite show by far is Mickey. He loves to try to sing a little bit... usually "Moooouse!" and dance at the beginning and end. He will watch it very carefully and talk about Mickey and Goofy and Minnie.
He is ON. THE. GO. He won't sit still long, but still does love to be rocked (<3) at bedtime and nap time. If he is really tired, he will find me and cuddle. He loves to climb and push anything with wheels and read books and dump toy baskets and carry around trucks and cars. :)
He is tiny for his age- in the 20% for height and weight. He has actually been on a toddler supplement formula since he turned one. His dairy and soy allergy make it hard to eat lots of "normal" stuff like yogart, cheese and ice cream... but he loves his fruits (strawberries, blueberries, watermelon, cantaloupe) and veggies!
He wears size 12 and 18 month clothes and is growing out of his size 5 shoes. He is in size 4 diapers. He weighs a light 22 pounds, and is 31 inches tall. He still naps almost 2 hours in the afternoon, and still wakes up a couple times in the night- either to look for his binkie, or to yell "uppies, uppies!" to come to our room.
Here is a flash back picture from a year ago! :) Ha! :) This little guy is such a blessing to our family, and that wait was so long and hard, but he was SO INCREDIBLY worth the wait! :)
