Birthday Update

Allie is FOUR!

I type this every year! How can Allie be four?? Seriously! We are trying so hard to savor every second of this sweet girl's life and yet it still seems to be whizzing by! SLOW DOWN! :)

Allie girl is so amazing! We are so blessed that God chose us to parent her! She is such a light in our lives!!!
We took her to the park last night for her annual birthday trip to the park. :) She has gone every year on her birthday to ride the train, play on the playgrounds and do whatever else she wants to. :) A fun little tradition we started and have kept up. We get ice cream afterwards. :)  She had a blast- and this year decided she wanted to ride some of the other rides... even though we couldn't talk her into the merry go round yet. ;) Another year. :)
Some updates on what this amazing little girl can do at Four:

  • She knows her ABC's  (by saying and identifying in print) - and can write a few of them.
  • She can draw faces. LOVE THIS! They are so cute! :)

  • She can retell stories that she knows- and "read" them back to us by memory.
  • Her memory is AMAZING! She can remember quotes from her favorite shows and she uses them in her talking- both everyday talking and in her pretend play. :)
  • She knows all of her nursery rhymes by heart and loves to come up with her own rhymes.
  • She can count to 15- and does very well counting objects by pointing and counting. :)
  • She can write her name- both Allie and Allisynn.
  • She can dress and undress herself and pick out her own clothes.
  • She can make her bed.
  • She can get her own drink when she is thirsty.
  • She can sing lots of songs. She knows Jesus Loves Me, Lord I lift your Name on High, Hark the Herald Angels sing, Our God is an Awesome God, etc... and has started singing along to Mommy and Daddy's Jesus songs too! :)
  • She makes new friends easy. She loves to find a new friend where ever we go.
  • She loves to pretend... all sorts of ways... one example... daddy is "Little Brother" and mommy is "Little Sister"
  • She has imaginary friends who go everywhere with us. :) Sometimes they get in trouble too. :)
  • She can talk on the phone to someone and hold a conversation without being prompted what to say.
  • She can play games like Go Fish, Memory (she is amazing at this!) , Strawberry Shortcake Game, Hi.Ho. Ch3rry 0, Hungry Hipp0s, Mupp3ts,  Wh@ck a M0le, and we've tried Chutes and L@dders.
  • She can do simple puzzles with very little help.
  • Is learning how to color. She tries to stay in the lines- but would rather draw on the picture instead of coloring it. ;0)

Allie is 37 pounds and         inches tall.
She is wearing 4t/4 size clothes.
She wears size 10 shoes.

Her favorites according to her:
Food-  Hotdogs
Dessert- Brownies
Drink- Lemonade
Color- Pink
TV Show- Doc Mc.Stuffins
Restaurant- Taco Bell
Game- Strawberry and Puzzles
Animal- Giraffes
Memory- loves to play with Collin
