Allie is thirteen months old!!! :)
She loves being so mobile and on the go! She is one busy little girl!!!
She climbs all over everything. She loves it when daddy lays on the floor and she can climb all over him. She loves to climb the stairs. She tries to climb on the couch and succeeds some of the time. :) She climbs on Gracie's step stool to the bed- and can climb onto our bed this way. (we of course are right there watching!) She likes to climb all over Gracie too.
She knows how a doggie, monkey, cow, and lion go and can tell you if you ask her. She knows the motion you do if you were riding a horse and does this when you ask how a horsey goes.
She is saying more and more words. She says cool, go, good girl, Bob, ba-ba, da-da, Pa-pa, ah-ha!, kuck-ka and blah (are both the same for something that is yucky), bath (more like ba!ba!ba!), ouchie, fishy (more like ish and ishy), mmm!, and many other attempts at words we say. :)
She does this temper tantrum thing now- when she doesn't get something she wants, or when she is told no. She will either try to bite something (not people or animals- but mostly furniture) or she will bang her head on the floor, or throw herself down in a wild girl way. Mommy and daddy are not a big fan of these- we try to ignore the best we can- telling her no usually feeds this little girl's tantrum, or gives her the attention she is after. If you ignore it, she realizes you aren't watching and will stop and go on to something else. Any ideas on better ways to handle these- we're open to hearing!
She is drinking whole milk!!! :) Yay!!! She only has about 1-2 ounces of formula in her bottles now. She drinks it really good. We've worked our way up to this point. She still prefers it from a bottle and not a sippy right now, but we're working on it.
She is also so done with baby food! :) She is a big girl now! :) None of that yucky baby stuff anymore! :) She likes cheese, LOVES cucumbers, mac and cheese, all beef hot dogs, green beans, bananas, strawberries, gold fish, rice cakes, applesauce, yogart, etc.
She wears size four diapers and size 12 month clothes. Some things she wears are 18 months- but most of those are still too big.
She still loves her puppy and notices any dogs on tv or outside. If she sees one or hears one, she'll let you know!
She is aware when she has a messy diaper. She pulled her changing pad out of her bag the other day and laid down beside it. I asked her if she had a messy diaper and needed changed and I picked her up and took her to change it. As I laid her down, she went, "uhhh" (her pew!) and waved her hand infront of her nose. I asked if she had a messy diaper and she did it again... then when I checked, sure enough- it was messy! Such a smart girl! :) Bring on the potty training! :) I think we are headed in the right direction!!! :) She has done the same a couple times since! :)
She loves to dance when she hears music. She loves to watch Mickey and Minnie and Sid the Science Kid. :)
She can hold up one (kind of holds up more than one sometimes) finger when we ask how old she is. ;) We'll say one! And hold our finger up and she'll do the same. :) Pretty cute!!! :)
She loves, LOVES to chew and bite ice cubes!! She gets all excited!
She has discovered the toilet paper in the bathroom and likes to pull off pieces. She also likes to stick her hands in Gracie's water dish. Ugh! This girl is SO busy!!! :)
We are loving this stage. We love to play with her and watch her explore and grow and play! :) It is so much fun!!! :) She has such a fun personality and we are SO blessed to be her mommy and daddy!!!!
We love you Allie!!! :)

Don't worry about the bottle thing just yet. Our doctor told us 15 months with Olivia. Reid on the other hand loves whole milk and pretty much gave up on the bottle about 2 weeks ago. We still give him baby cereal and fruit for convenience. Other than that he is just like Allie and loves "real" food! They are getting so big and lots of fun. Reid is officially walking everywhere now! Can't wait to get them together again.
