Eleven Months Old!

Allie is eleven months old already! So hard to believe that we are planning a birthday party for this little girl!!!!! I can't believe my baby will be one!!!! She is acting more like a toddler than a baby! She is walking for little bits at a time- across the room! She loves to carry something with her when she walks. Too funny! :) She will plop down and then stand back up and keep going. Sometimes though, she thinks it is just easier to crawl! :) We are noticing more and more steps and willingness to give walking a chance though. :)

She has also started wanting more "big people" food. She fed herself mashed potatoes tonight. Silly girl- she was a mess! :) We showed her once- how to put more on her spoon and she wanted to do it herself from then on. Sometimes she would get potato on her spoon and other times she wouldn't. She was pretty proud of herself. She has also tried M0tts sugar free applesauce in many flavors, Mickey shaped cheese, baby yogurt (didn't agree with her- so we stopped that for a while), little bits of whatever we are eating sometimes, bananas, jello and some pudding. She would much rather eat that stuff than her baby food. :) good sign! :) We are still giving her some baby food to make sure she is getting her veggies for sure and some fruits. :) She has four teeth on the top and two on the bottom! And more coming! :)

She is wearing size twelve month clothes. Some nine month things still fit, but a lot of her stuff is twelve month now. We weighed her on our home scales and she weighed about 21 pounds. Still in size three cruisers, could maybe move to fours, but these still fit good.

She is talking more too. It is so cute to hear. She loves to mimic us. She says some of the things we say and mimics with the syllables and her little babbles. She also has started mimicking hand signals. She does the sign language symbol for more and will put her hands out when something doesn't make sense (like what was that?). She also started putting her hands on her face (like oh no!) Pretty funny! :)

We are still loving this parenting thing. It is tons of work and I find myself wondering what exactly I did during the day (besides play with her and take care of her) but that is the stage we are in. :) She is so much fun and so precious!!! :) She is definitely a gift from above! :)
