Five Months Old!!!!!

Allie is five months old today! Where is time going?? Amazing how fast it flies!

She is such a joy and so active! I'll try to run down the list of things she's doing now! Hopefully I don't forget anything.

*Eating Cereal two times a day. Rice in the morning which she doesn't care for, and Oatmeal in the evening which she LOVES! She does really well with it and has learned how to expect what is coming. She still gets it all over sometimes, but usually does really well. She gets very distracted when she is eating sometimes and that's when we have a mess. When she is really hungry, she'll hardly let you get the spoon back to the bowl before she is reaching for your hand or the spoon or the bowl.

*Wearing size 2-3 diapers.

*Wearing size 3 month clothes- some 3-6 month things and some onesies that are 6 months.

*Laughs now- it is so cute. It isn't a giggle- but more of a throat laugh. It is cute. She'll also make silly noises and get a HUGE smile and wrinkle her little nose up.

*Loves to bounce in her doorway jumper!!!! She'll bounce for a LONG time! She'll try to grab Gracie as she goes by and sometimes just twirls around in it and has a grand old time. I think she loves the freedom it gives her.

*Can sit for a few seconds on her own.

*Wants to stand and be involved with things going on around her.

*Goes upstairs around 8 for her bottle and then down for the night around 8:30 or 9. She usually wakes up once in the middle of the night but sometimes makes it until 5:30 or 6!

*Talks and babbles A LOT!

*Loves to put everything in her mouth.

*Blows raspberries

*Loves to dance

*Recognizes patty-cake

*Had her first cold

*Reaches for the TV remotes

*She reacts to us when we do something silly, make a noise, talk to her, etc.

*Grabs at things and plays with them and then sticks them to her mouth.

*She weighs 15 lbs and is 25.5" long

*Lays on her belly and plays with toys. She'll wiggle all the way around in a circle. Usually I lay her down on a blanket and circle toys all around her, and she'll wiggle all around and play with something new.

*Plays with her binkie more than sucks on it. She'll take it out of her mouth and play with it and then try to put it back in on her own. She succedes about 20 percent of the time. Usually it is backwards or upside down or sideways. She doesn't care- she's just happy playing with it.

*Loves Gracie! She gets a HUGE smile on her face and likes to try to pet her when she sees her. She loves to watch her play and her tail move.

*She loves to sit in her exersaucer and play with her toys.

*She rolls from front to back and back to front. More often it is back to front.

*Sometimes sleeps on her side.
