On Friday evening, Nana, Auntie D, Allisynn and Mommy went to a mother daughter banquet. I always remember going to these growing up. It was so much fun! We would get all dressed up and grandma and grandpa would come down for the evening. Grandpa and daddy would stay home and dad would grill steaks. As I got older and married, Ryan joined them sometimes for the yummy food/tradition. It had been several years since we had been able to go together. This was my first as a mommy!!! It was so much fun!!! The whole evening was perfect. Actually, the whole day was! I took my personal day so I was home with Allie all day. We took our time getting ready in the morning and then went to Nana's house for the day. We spent the day with Nana and Auntie D.
The banquet was held in a restaurant and everything was so nice! The food was DELICIOUS, and the visiting was delightful and the speaker was inspiring! A PERFECT evening! :)

We told Allie the night before that we were going to a party the next day... she remembered... She kept mentioning "partee!" and said it a couple times when we were there. She did pretty well for being almost two and for being there for several hours. Toward the end she was getting sleepy and tired of being confined... she wanted to RUN and play! :) She found a little playmate as everyone was cleaning up and leaving and she latched on to her and had a blast! :)
She was running and jumping and trying on her shoes and playing ring around the rosie and everything! :) Silly girl! :) She had a hard time settling down for sleep. Lots of fun and maybe a little sugar... she had some ice cream for dessert! :) :)
Fun times... looking forward to many more mother daughter banquets in the future! :)
