Allie's first birthday was this past week. We sang to her and made a big deal on her birthday, but didn't have her party until this past weekend. We went to the park to celebrate. It was a fun day! Beautiful (HOT HOT HOT) weather and so pretty to be outside for the day! I loved having it at the park! All of our immediate family came and spent the afternoon helping us celebrate this precious, sweet little girl! It was so much fun! I CAN"T believe that she's a year old already! She is no longer a baby- and is most certainly a toddler now. Not only by her age, but more so by her actions! She is walking SO well- almost running at times and is IN TO EVERYTHING! She is learning the word no- although still isn't sure of what we mean sometimes. She loves to test the waters to see if we really mean it when we say no, and to see just what we will do about it. Sometimes she turns right around and does the same thing again- and just looks at us like- just what are you going to do about THIS? :) Ha! Little turkey! :)

She loves to climb- on all kinds of stuff... boxes, Gracie, her toys, her highchair, the dining room chairs, on and on and on. No fear here!

She drinks out of her sippy really well now! She LOVES ice water- and ice in general. Silly girl... she actually chews ice cubes and LOVES It! She has a fresh food feeder that I put ice cubes in and she loves to suck on that and carry it around until it is all gone. When we aren't doing that, she will just hold the ice in her hand and bite it and chew it. Silly! Silly! Silly!

She gets bored very easily now. She has to be busy and doing stuff... no sitting around watching the grass grow for this little girl. She'd rather be exploring, climbing or walking around! I love to watch her and see just what she is going to do and where she goes. It is neat watching her explore!

She is making strange more and more. She doesn't like hats or sunglasses, and isn't totally sold on regular glasses- especially if she is used to you with out them. If she hasn't seen you for a while, she will take a while to warm up- and then she's good to go. :)

She is a busy, busy little girl! And we are LOVING this time with her! Even if it is exhausting at times! :) She is so precious, and we are so lucky to have her in our family!!!! What a year it has been!

Allie girl did not like being messy- and got pretty upset that there was cake on her hands and she couldn't get it off... Silly baby girl! It's ok. It's your party and you can cry if you want to.

She was fine when we wiped her hands and mouth and let her down to play. Just didn't want much at all to do with that messy old cake! :)
